    Default Rainshadow Immortal Blueprint

    Hey!

Looking to build up a Rainshadow Immortal Centerpin and was hoping someone has the blueprints for the IMMCP116M-2TC blank?

    Cheers

I should have something for you next week.

Have you thought about the other components you are going to use?

I'd be happy to help you out and put together a package deal.

    Regards,
    Eric

    Hey Eric,

Just doing a bit of build planning here. Was curious how the guide spacing and winding check size would change if I were to put on a 5" rear grip oppose to the 10" you suggested? I would plan to keep the 7.375" fore grip size you suggested, unless you recommend longer with the shorter rear grip. Have a much shorter reach given my size over the "standard" anglers proportions (I'm 5'2" in hight) and want to make sure the rear butt doesn't hook up on my wading jacket.

Also curious how this grip setup would look like on a 10'6" RS RX-7 IST1263F blank as a slightly shorter setup. For context, I will be using a 4.5" diameter centerpin reel.

    Appreciate it!

Guide spacing won't change much. You may need one more guide towards the rear. You'd have to do your static testing and see how it flexes in that area. As for the winding check, just measure the OD of the blank where it will be. I don't have the blank here so I'm not much help.

As for handle sizes, this is totally up to you. It's one of the benefits of doing custom rods. For pin rods I like a shorter rear grip than fore. Here's a 10'6" one that I recently built:

Makes sense, thanks for the quick reply and pictures for reference!

If I were to need an extra guide towards the rear, would it be best to bump everything back by adding another XTCYTCG08 up front? Or add a second XTCYTCG10 to the build? Or would this become more visually apparent when doing my static testing? From what I've been reading, a size 20 guide in the back with a 4.5" CP is plenty large so pushing things back with additional smaller guides up front seems logical.

Just trying to figure out order quantities as I'd like to try and order everything at once.

This is awesome, thanks for the help!

I'd prolly go with another 8. Bump to a 10 if you need to keep the line off the blank.
