    Default Creating Decals in Gimp

Does anyone have a file they'd be willing to share? Am looking to create a simple decal describing the rods I'm making for my brothers for Christmas. Just needs to include 4 lines of text.

    Thanks in advance.

I used GIMP 2.8 for my first two rods. Because it is a pixel based program I found it impossible to get smooth details when I shrunk my graphics down to size. I switched to a version of Adobe Illustrator for my third rod and the detail is night and day. The Adobe program is Vector based. It uses math to represent the lines and colors so a picture the size of a stamp looks exactly the same when you blow it up to billboard size. And visa versa. Just my .2 but GIMP is an ok program but not good enough to do good rod graphics.
